Fall is coming in fast in Colorado, finally! With the weather cooling off it's been so great being able to pull out my sweaters. Who else adores fall time? On Saturday, I had the best experience getting DaVinci fitted with a new saddle. I previously had a Trilogy Verago that I purchased used when I first got him as a 4 year old. It was so...

This past weekend, I had the chance to bring DaVinci up to Cheyenne,WY for his first show experience! We didn't do any classes just so that I could use this as an opportunity to see how reacts to the show atmosphere.

Friday afternoon we arrived, and I got his stall ready and him unloaded. He settled right in, munching on his hay and taking a...

I was recently honored to be included in the list of Top 60 Dressage blogs as number 33! (Click here to see the list)

As 2018 starts off, I am setting myself up for a big year. I have some exciting plans for my blog and Etsy store that I am continuing to grow. I've learned so much and have gotten so much support from other equestrian related...

Woo! It's been awhile since doing an actual blog post. I've had severe writer's block lately and I've been keeping busy with my day job and travel.  Let's hope that I can get my creative juices flowing again. Here we go........

Since DaVinci has come into my life I've learned a lot about him via Trial and Error. I think this is just the adjust...

Thanks to The Horse is Not Black blog for the questions!

  1. What are your summer goals? Horse related: To do at least one horse show with DaVinci! Best case scenario is Dressage in the Rockies in August. Worst case is a schooling show. Fitness related: keep getting in shape and slimming down another 5-8 lbs. Doing this by 1x/week with persona...

This weekend we hosted a super fun Kentucky Derby Party! We had mint juleps, bourbon meatballs, mini derby pies, ham and cheese sliders, and mini chicken and waffles, etc. Outside we also had cornhole set up and the weather was perfect for it!

I was really bad about getting pictures of the full table set up with food and flowers and everything...

As I was in the FedEx store yesterday shipping off my County that I sold, I ended up in a very peculiar situation that I had not experienced before....The Equestrian Twilight Zone! Dun dun dunnnnnn....

It was just a regular day dropping off a saddle to be shipped to it's lucky new owner. When I entered the store I was greeted by a lady at the...

So until recently, I hadn't really looked at my helmet after getting thrown from Vienna. All I can say is "Wow". I didn't realize my head hit the white vinyl fence and I landed so hard that it cracked the helmet. This is why I ALWAYS wear a helmet. It really did save me from a concussion, or even worse.....

So shout out to all those helmets th...

Let's begin this by saying that I am very disappointed with how the last two weeks have panned out.

Here I was, so excited to start working with a new horse that we would hopefully end up buying, next thing I know we are returning her a two weeks later.

I asked a million questions about this horse before even going to try her out...

Hi All!

I hope everyone had a great Holiday season!

Now that it's over I am definitely relieved and ready to start the New Year!

We had about 5 family Christmas events that we attended. Which is a lot! Mark and I were both exhausted by the time the weekend was over.

For New Year's Eve we ended up hosting a party at our house. It turned out to b...

Who's ready to brave the cold and snow?! Colorado is going to drop in temperature this weekend with some snow on the way. A high of 3 degrees is expected on Saturday! I won't be doing much that day. I may try and get out to the barn to visit Java and Baby but anything below 10 degrees is really pushing it to be able to ride......but we will s...

Thanks to TheDailyHorse.tumblr.com for the questions!

1) What discipline do you ride right now?

Dressage

2) If you had to switch your discipline, which one would you choose?

Reining, I've done a little bit of it before and find it to be very similar to Dressage! I would also do Western Dressage as I think that would be a lot of fun as well, espec...

This is our main Mr. Man, he's a 3 year old Ridgeback mix that we adopted when he was 3 months old.

Charlie is so smart and such a good barn dog! He loves playing with other dogs and eating grass (yet doesn't get sick) and horse poop.

He's pretty big at 70 lbs. And knows tricks like spin, bang, sit, stay, what's up, speak, etc. I trained him my...

So I can't even tell you guys how excited I am for Halloween. Every year we host a big party at our house and let's just say that as soon as October 1st hits I am off decorating everything.

This past weekend we were in Chicago for a wedding (pic below)  so when we got home on Sunday I had Mark pull out our 2 big bins of Decor. I got to work d...
